The purpose of the Criminal Defense Section is to provide a framework to exchange information to attorneys practicing in the area of criminal law in the Justice, Municipal, County, and Circuit and Federal Courts throughout the state. It strives to provide opportunities for criminal defense attorneys to increase their knowledge in the field of criminal defense through the publication of newsletters, legal education, and through featured speakers during Section meetings and seminars. The Criminal Defense Section also lobbies for essential legislation regarding changes to the criminal justice system.
