Jennifer G. Hall 2022 Distinguished Service Award Recipient

Jennifer G. Hall of Jackson will receive the 2022 Distinguished Service Award presented during The Mississippi Bar's 2022 Annual Business Session held on July 15, 2022.

Each year, The Mississippi Bar honors certain individuals whose work and contributions advance the purposes of the Bar and demonstrate the legal profession's commitment to serving the public and the profession. Hall received the Distinguished Service Award in honor of her outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the legal community.

Hall is a shareholder in the Jackson office of Baker Donelson, where she practices in the area of labor and employment law, as both a trial lawyer and consultant. From 2018-2021, Hall served as Chair of The Mississippi Bar’s Women in the Profession Committee, which serves to identify career paths for women in the legal profession, break down barriers that prevent full participation, and address unique problems encountered by women attorneys in pursuing their professional careers. Hall also served the Bar as the Chair of the Labor & Employment Section from 2018-2019 and as a Fellow with the Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar, where she currently serves as Vice-President (2021-2022) and was a board member (2018-2019). Throughout Hall’s volunteer work with the Bar, she has been a model of dedicated service to the legal profession and the public.

Hall is also a member of the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. She is a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Jackson, a member of the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi, Inc., and a Member-At-Large of the Parent Association Board for St. Anthony Catholic School (2020-2021). In 2018, she was named as one of Mississippi Business Journal’s “Leaders in Law.”

Hall graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Business in 1999 with a B.B.A. before receiving her Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2002.
