Meade Mitchell Elected President-Elect Designee of The Mississippi Bar
The ballots for the 2023 Bar elections were certified to the Bar by Survey & Ballot Systems on January 26, following the voting deadline. Meade Mitchell of Ridgeland was elected President-Elect Designee of The Mississippi Bar. Mitchell's term as President-Elect will begin at the 2023 Annual Meeting in July. Elected to the Board of Commissioners were: John L. Herzog, Jr., Greenville, District 4; Lauren Rogers Dunn, Louisville, District 5; Edgar Hyde Carby, Natchez, District 6; Clarence Webster III, Jackson, District 7 - Post 3; James Edwin "Jess" Smith III, Carthage, District 8; Robert E. "Robbie" Hayes, Jr., Southaven, District 17; Dana P. Sims, Yazoo City, District 21; and RaToya Gilmer McGee, Jackson, At Large.
Officers and Directors Elected for the Bar's Young Lawyers Division
The ballots for the 2023 Young Lawyers Division elections were tabulated on January 26, by Survey and Ballot Systems. Brittany Brooks Frankel of Greenville was elected President-Elect Designee of the Young Lawyers Division. Frankel's term will begin at the 2023 Annual Meeting in July. Also elected were: Alex P. Shoemaker, Hattiesburg, Secretary; Miles Forks, Oxford, YLD Director At Large; Kelly McCall, Gulfport, Coastal II Director; Jessica Rice Robinson, Jackson, Hinds Post IV Director; Vidhi Bamzai, Jackson, Hinds Post V Director; Breanna F.G. Young, Jackson, Hinds Post VI Director; Scarlett Jones, Poplarville, Southwest Director; and William Bettis, Ridgeland, Central I Director.
